    Windows 10 Home x64 Version 22H2 Build 19045.4170
       #11

Anyone else seeing this after last night's Defender Platform update that went from 4.18.1905.4-0 to 4.18.1906.3-0?
    Yes.
    - I had three computers on Windows 10 Home x64 Version 1903 Build 18362.207
    - Two had had the WD update already. They both failed SFC.
    - The other one [my Chuwi tablet-with-keyboard] was still at WD 4.18.1906.3 and SFC completed successfully.
    - I updated WD on the Chuwi.
    - SFC then failed on the Chuwi as well.
    - I updated the Chuwi to Windows 10 Home x64 Version 1903 Build 18362.239.
    - SFC still fails on the Chuwi.

I have tried the suggested fixes but without any success
    - DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    - Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
    - I rebooted between each attempt and also re-ran SFC each time.
    - My SFC unrepairables entries are all Windows-Defender-Management-Powershell items.

I'll now await a new WD platform update in the hope that it fixes the problem.
    - It just seems to me to be too much trouble expending further effort on something that is so clearly a symptom of an update error that can be expected to be addressed fairly rapidly**.
    - ** I do not think I am using the word rapidly in any normal sense.

    Try what I did. Worked perfectly. Cumulative Update KB4507453 Windows 10 v1903 build 18362.239 - July 9

    Thanks.
    - I have a limited data allowance [12GB a month, 3GB left until this Saturday].
    - I used to be able to rely on my local library WiFi but that has now been deliberately slowed down to make such big downloads impracticable.
    - I'll wait a couple of weeks then make a decision. With any luck a new WD platform update will sort it all out.

OK, so I'm clear (and I'm clearly not!):

Do I must run that DISM/SFC sequence as WD update definitely broke something that remains broken over the last week or so?

    Or:

Can I currently leave things as they are?

Disclaimer: I'm not a weekly-casual user of DISM/SFC commands. It's not that I don't know how, or am afraid of using them, it's just I don't see any reasons for doing so on a stable and infrequently used PC which does not crash at all.

Also, if that's something that MS broke, they should arrange for it to be fixed as part of maintenance run (daily/weekly) or similar.

    - Since the only symptom of the problem I have seen reported is the set of SFC errors then you can leave things as they are if you do not mind SFC having a problem.
    - That is exactly what I am doing.

It's merely a logical conclusion - I don't have great hopes that they do so, and promptly either, obviously.

Out of interest, what is expected under this scenario when running this command Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth?

    I'm getting this:

    No component store corruption detected.
    The operation completed successfully.

And I have to assume that all is well?(I run the above very infrequently - when monthly backups are made)

That's what is expected. Some other pople found that they could then reboot and SFC would run successfully.
