Cannot use Windows Sandbox after 1093 upgrade

Just upgraded to 1903 yesterday. Decided to try out Windows Sandbox. However, when I go to the program selection box, Windows Sandbox is grayed out with the message: Windows Sandbox cannot be installed: Virtualization is disabled in the firmware. Same message for Windows Defender Application Guard.

I'm running Pro with an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU on a Gigabyte Aorus AX370 Gaming 7 motherboard. However, I can install the above on my other PC that's Pro with an AMD FX8370 on a Gigabyte 970-A-DS3P FX motherboard.

I've checked the BIOS on both PCs and can't see anything to configure for virtualization on either one.

Is this a BIOS function, a CPU function (I would think a Ryzen CPU would support virtualization) or a motherboard function?

    Thanks.

Never mind. Just read in a report on Techspot that 1903 left some users unable to launch both of these apps on some PCs. Guess I was one of those. Will wait for an update later.

Run System Information That will tell you if virtualization is enabled on your pc. Check windows features
I believe Hyper V has to be enabled.

Same here. First I checked for processor capability and it was OK.

Then went to BIOS to enable.

And yet I can't get Windows Sandbox because of this firmware thing.

Even Hyper-V can't be completely enabled for the same reason.

Now I wonder how I can fix this firmware thing.

Virtualization must be enabled in the BIOS first to activate Hyper-V, Sandbox and Defender Application Guard. We don't need Hyper-V to run Sandbox nor any Hyper XYZ in Services. For Ryzen 2700U, the BIOS option is call AMD V (TM) Technology under Virtualization. Ounce this option is enabled, Windows features for Virtualization won't be greyd out.
