Run both, I do with no issues at all. That way you will have 2 layers of protection.

Are you running the free or paid version of Malwarebytes? The free version is just an on-demand scanner, the paid version provides real time protection. Either version will work with Emsisoft.

    Hi,
If you have mbam premium it is a antivirus already never run two antivirus programs.
Free mbam is just a scanner basically it has no rea ltime protection so it would not count as another antivirus.

Malwarebytes is compatible with most, if not all, anti-virus programs and is designed to be run alongside them without any issues. You are correct about not running 2 anti-virus programs together but this does not apply to Malwarebytes. Many on here use Windows Defender and paid Malwarebytes together.

Your opinion. However its really all most people need now as most threats now are not the old time virus's of 10 years ago but phishing, scams etc. All you need now is a decent anti-virus, an add blocker and careful surfing habits to you keep safe, Defender is fine. I'm out of this thread now before it degenerates.

    Hi,
Really the only one opinion that counts to me anyway

Windows defender is just a pest in win-10
If there were a reliable way to turn it off without borking the 10 os most would
Now even if there is a real antivirus installed WD is still on so it's even worse so yeah people live with WD but it's nothing but as stated a pest and fairly useless otherwise nobody would use anything else now would they

Any decent Antivirus is working just fine on Windows 10. Means, it disables WD

But WD is working fine for me. Also has decent results in tests. And there is many other free and payed Antiviruses out there. just pick one

And there is a lot of users here on TF that are running MB alongside other antiviruses (WD and Symantec comes to mind)... Should be working fine.

Emsisoft focuses on user's privacy, it is a company, you can trust, unlike Malwarebytes.

    Hi,
I usually just install panda to shut wd up after disabling it's bs so called online features and disable periodic scanning....
On win-7 I use only mbam premium no need for anything else and of course ublock origin in browsers.
