Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) 2016 is now available from the UK site. I've installed KIS 2106 in Windows 8.1 and it is so far free from some of the niggling issues I had with KIS 2015.

However, the list of limitations in Windows 10 as described in Post 9 remains according to the User Guide. Does anyone know when a fully functional Windows 10 version of KIS 2016 will be available? I'll probably postpone my Windows 10 upgrade until then.

I made an upgrade from w8.1 to w10 with Kaspersky 2015 installed and it was disabled. I had to uninstal K 2015 and reinstall K 2016. Everything after that went smoothly. The activation code was preserved. The 2016 version is a little bit better than than the 2015 version, and we got it 4 months in advance! (year 2016 is only in 4 months!)
FOR UPGRADING FROM W8.1 TO W10 YOU MUST UNINSTALL KASPERKY 2015 FIRST.
Then perform the upgrade and then install Kaspersky 2016
KASPERKY 2015 WILL NOT INSTALL ON W10!!!

I went through that myself , had KAS 2015 installed and did not work with Win 10 , had to download the newest version 2016 and that runs fine with Win 10 , no issues at all.

Download it from Kaspersky website and save it on a USB drive and after Win 10 is installed then you can install 2016. Before updating run the vulnerability scanner and fix all that it finds , after i fix all the vulnerabilities i then go on the net and update .

Are you all happy with the protection KIS 2016 provides, noting the limitations in Post 9? I'm inclined to wait for a fully supported version before upgrading to Windows 10.

Go to their forum and ask about the limitations , lots of info there , i think thats old news , at least it was old news with the AV only . I was told a few weeks back that all functions are active and that's how it acts to me but i use the AV not "Internet security".

    Hi:

Disclaimer: Not yet running Win10, but a long-time Kaspersky home user here.

Kindly pardon my intrusion in this thread.

I just thought I would mention a few things that might improve your chances of an uneventful upgrade and use of KIS/KAV/KTS:
    1. KIS/KAV/KTS 2016 is the only version that is fully compatible with Win10 -- see HERE.
    2. "Best Practices" for KIS/KAV/KTS (and most other security applications, as advised by M$) include temporarily uninstalling the program (whatever version) BEFORE the Win10 upgrade -- see HERE. While one can "Keep License Info" during the uninstall, it's a good idea to have one's 20-digit activation code available before starting the process, just in case.
    3. As for the bugs and glitches, Patch B is currently in Beta testing. It fixes many of the "limitations" with earlier builds -- see HERE.
    4. Your valid 2015 KIS/KAV/KTS license should work just fine for 2016 for the remainder of your license period, as the license policy is -1 & +3 versions. IOW: 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018

    Cheers,

I just have Kaspersky AV not the" Internet Security" but one of the first things i do is run the "Vulnerability scanner" right after a clean install because of vulnerabilities and Kaspersky makes it super easy .

I run this before i even plug into the net and update the program.

As far as I can tell its not fixed as yet , http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php...post&p=2455012

Sometime this month September by a database update, I'm holding off myself upgrading to win 10 until this is fully sorted.

No, its not fixed yet - see the reply I got from Kaspersky below (in their English). I'll wait until this is sorted out before upgrading to Windows 10.

"Regarding the current limitations: https://support.kaspersky.com/11736 , patches will be released that they will resolve those limitations. Full compatibility is expected by the end of September. Those patches will be applied through your usual database update."
