    Coming from a chromebook

    Hi.

Have a surface laptop 2 i5 which is very fancy for me.

I have a chromebook before that and this is much better in most ways.

I have recently been hijacked by: dontnotifyfriends.info

This sends me advertising for dating site on the right of my screen 10 times a day.

Nothing on the web to say how to get rid of: dontnotifyfriends.info

    Can anyone help?

Have you tried downloading and running Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner?

Malwarebytes for Windows - Antivirus Replacement for PCs | Malwarebytes

AdwCleaner - Free Adware Cleaner & Removal Tool | Malwarebytes

Malwarebytes you just need the free trial and AdwCleaner is a standalone tool.

Hitman Pro might also be another option to consider:
HitmanPro Malware Removal Tool: Secondary Anti-Virus Scanner | Download HitmanPro 3.7

And there is also Remove Malware & Spyware with Anti-Malware Software | Superantispyware

Have tried malware, will do the other two when i get home, thanks. I think it must be a fairly new thing cos there's no info on it on the web. Like no one has ever come across it before. Will see how they fare and get back, cheers.

Shamefully I think there were a lot of items found by SUPERAntiSpyware. I ran that and hitman pro and we'll see how she blows. Fingers crossed it might be alright, you never know. lol. Thanks all. Will get back if need be. cheers.

I have never heard of your particular malware before.

I just wanted to comment that for my malware defense, I use Windows Defender along with Malwarebytes Premium. This particular combination gets a lot of recommendations, such as this.

It looks like ChromeOS has the best security in a consumer OS: link1 and link2.

Windows will likely never be able to achieve this level of security. It is so complex, its vast attack surface will never be fully protected.

It weird. No-one seems to have heard of it.

It's that unheard of I'm starting to think it's part of the actual system.

It starts and ends in the action centre as far as I can tell.

It offers me women and wine which sounds fine but I just want to shut it up.

There's nothing on the net about it really.

of the few sites I have found I reckon they send me to worse places so the people who made this up actually made those sites up too. I just end up backing out of those sites like its the dark web. no interest.

To be honest I can just keep cancelling them from action centre. this is definitely a first world problem.

My house has not been knocked down by a bunch of hurricanes. I whinging about nothing to be honest.
