This is your assumption. BTW, that is my real face.

If you want a good/cheap VPN that doesn't keep logs, check out Windscribe.
    You truly believe that?

Windscribe - Free VPN and Ad Block
I see you have to register an account. I mostly just want a program you can buy, install and that's it, but i will check it out and get back with the results.

    Hi there
Whatever you do there's the initial requirement - whether you logon to TOR / VPN or anything else that the initial command to get connected to the Internet must go through your ISP or some router somewhere connected to the Internet. OK what happens after that can be "spoofed" etc - but assuming agency X knows your ISP provider it presumably just needs the intial internet request to then start de-constructing" stuff.

Usually VPN's / TOR are used to access geo-blocked multi-media content, blocked web sites e.g TPB or other restricted material.

Unless you are downloading mega volumes of "blocked content" there's no way you would really need to worry about hiding your IP. VPN's are not normally a problem -- and there's far too much data out there in general to worry about becoming "A Person of Interest".

    Cheers

I did some testing with windscribe. It seems like it also hides your ip for gaming. I should probably clarify that i mostly want to hide my ip for browsing, it doesn't really matter that much for gaming.

If being anonymous online is your primary concern, which I think it is from your posts, then consider trying something like a Linux distro that boots from USB.

There are two options I know of and have heard decent feedback about:
    DistroWatch.com: Tails
    DistroWatch.com: Linux Kodachi

Depending on your comfort level, perhaps take a look at Kodachi. I suggest trying their different browser options and seeing which one suits you best.

By the way, just as a warning, there are some very powerful tools on this distro, including ones that can destroy all your data so please be careful.

The OS boots from RAM, not touching your HD, and has some other interesting options including encrypted persistence.

I think that's a bit too complex of a solution. I'm mostly looking for something similar to hide my ip.

    @Cerawy

For hiding while browsing TOR works, is FREE and each time you connect it's different IP. No need for paid for VPN's or simlar -- those thngs are usually used to get say US version of NETFLIX in Europe or watch geoblocked content like UK Premier league football on Saturday afternoons from within the UK.
