    Error Message Appearing at Random

Ever since the last Windows 10 update, I continuously get an error message popping up randomly throughout the day. It doesn't matter if I close it. It will pop up even if I have nothing running. With error messages I can usually figure out what the problem is. With this one, I'm lost. I'll attach the error message.

    Welcome to TenForums @Dreamdweller

It may help you to track down what the error is to know that C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\ReaderNotificationClient_1.0.4.0_x86__e1rzdqpraam7r s from Adobe Reader. More here:

Hello Bree, I hesitate to go to the site you referenced. It gives this message: This site utilises several optional online services that might collect information about you. By continuing visiting this site (whether or not you dismiss this dialog), you acknowledge that you accept our privacy notice.

Did you go to the referenced site? Did it give any information about how to stop that annoying message that pops up about FullTrustNotifier.exe? I get the same message popping up and I don't find the keyword anywhere in the Registry.

What is triggering the message and how do we stop it?

Hmmm. Here is the message I tried to paste in my note above. "This site utilises several optional online services that might collect information about you. By continuing visiting this site (whether or not you dismiss this dialog), you acknowledge that you accept our privacy notice."

That's just a privacy notice for the EU privacy regulations. The site is quite safe for you to visit.

I went to the referenced site. I don't see anything there about getting rid of this problem. It is baffling me. I have been paying attention to when it pops up for months. I don't notice any trigger or program I use that prompts the message. Error Message Appearing at Random-fulltrustnotifier.exe-not-found.jpg

System owns the directory and I'm not comfortable messing with permissions when System is the owner. Any suggestions about how to stop this annoying message?

It seems to me that you are using the Windows Store app version of Adobe Reader, yes? I would uninstall it and use the desktop program. I use the desktop version and do not have the issue you describe. Be sure to uncheck the boxes for additional little programs it wants to install like Chrome extension and McAfee Safe Connect, or anything else you might find in their installation page (unless, of course, you want that stuff).

Thanks for your suggestion, Simrick, but I'm not using any Adobe Reader. The only Adobe things I have are a Google extension- Adobe Acrobat 15.1.1.1, Adobe Connect, Adobe Digigal Editions, and Adobe Flash Player. Could any of those be related to the problem?

Since the system owns the directory where the file is, would it be ok to take ownership and erase the whole directory?

    Hi.
Your error box specifically says READER - and Adobe Reader (the Store version) comes automatically with Windows 10. So, have you uninstalled it?

The answer Callender posted may do the trick, even though the error in that thread is a little bit different - either way, Adobe is the culprit.

Please try that first, before messing with permissions and deleting directories.

It may be this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/re...ot:overviewtab which is the MS eReader app.

Tbh I’d be suspicious of any downloaded/saved file which shows random/crazy letters & numbers in the name as it could be malware masquerading as a genuine program, especially if it’s asking for permission to run. I do know that MS apps have unusual letter & number combinations though.
