Iobit vs Iolo and another AV question

If I had to choose between iobit Advanced System Care Pro and Iolo Phoenix360 Which should I choose? And why? In actual fact. I have both. But it seems a tad surplus to have both running at the same time.

I also had to remove avast because it was causing some problems with some other software installations. I didn't really like the all-encompassing nature of avast. (or many other AV with similar reach). After some research, I replaced it with Panda Dome. Which I kinda liked because it wasn't trying to be everything for everybody. Just an AV product. Neither of which were even mentioned the latest PC-Mag AV review. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions about my choices?

Running 2 av is a no no as they can interfere with each other we have had a lot of problems with iobit on the forum

Panda is fine, I wouldn't touch those other 2 programs with a 10 feet pole,

Having more than 1 active AV product has never been recommended. The suppliers of these products have warned about this and they would know better than anybody. Normal applications generally coexist well together but AV products are not normal applications. AV programs were not designed to coexist with others and the results of doing so are unpredictable. Potential issues include poor performance, system instability, and reduced protection. 2 AV programs can be worse than 1.

I don't know anything about Iolo Phoenix360 but I wouldn't touch any Iobit product. They have a poor reputation on most forums. Some years ago Malwarebytes discovered that a Iobit product was using their definitions without permission or notice. There have been many reported problems with Iobit products over the years. Maybe they have been now solved, or maybe not. It is not good when you can't trust security software.

Firstly to clarify something. When I said avast was interfering with other programs. I wasn't meaning with other AV programs. I meant it caused some other internet type programs to break. I had to take it down eventually. It was doing this with more than just 1 program. I found it to be way too intrusive generally. Like most of these all-singing, all-dancing AV products. I liked the simplicity of Panda. Way less intrusive, generally.

OK. That's good to know, about Iobit. I kinda liked it because it was easier to use, generally. I think I got it from it ranking well in some magazine reviews. I think I should take them both down. So is there any recommended software which IS recommended for the kind of stuff Iobit/Iolo perform?

You need to be very careful with reviews found anywhere that accepts advertising. Such organizations will generally not publish anything beyond mild criticism in an otherwise favorable review. Reviewers generally don't have any influence over where the ads will appear. Advertisers understandably become upset to see their ad on the same page as an unfavorable review of that product. They start to thinking they should be advertising elsewhere.

Yeah. I know all that stuff about reviews. I am usually quite careful. I don't understand how I got this so wrong. I usually look at many reviews and usually only pay attention those from the PC-Mag community.

I am a new Windows user. I've only been using if for about 1.5 years. I joined TenForums within days of getting Windows. I've always had solid advice here. I'm not an expert. I don't know how you judge "high risk". But with my luck I would consider myself "high risk". I think I need a Malware Killer to compliment my Panda Dome. What would be the recommendation?

    Thanks

Most users here recommend Malwarebytes (free version) and to run on-demand scans from time to time.

Other decent programs include the free versions of SUPERAntiSpyware, AdwCleaner, and possibly Emsisoft Emergency Kit (very large but solid program).
