Windows 10 1803 Software Restriction Policy no longer being developed.

Can someone explain this to me on what they mean be no longer being developed? Currently we have computers from windows 7 to 10 up to 1709 and a couple 10 boxes on 1803. All of these have Software Restriction Policy's applied to them and are working.

Just that. It isn't being developed and will presumably be removed at some point (unless they change their mind again).

Until removed it will work. They recommend moving to Applocker or WDAC...

We are no longer actively developing these features and may remove them from a future update.

Instead of using the Software Restriction Policies through Group Policy, you can use AppLocker or Windows Defender Application Control to control which apps users can access and what code can run in the kernel.
