Windows Defender not scanning

    I only installed antivirus after windows defender stopped working. So what should I do next other than reset.

    What antivirus? If you want to check Windows defender, you have to uninstall it. Manufacturers usually provide their uninstallers.

    If you have all your backups, and installing programs is not a problem, reset is very similar to clean install.

    And all scans still come out clean?
