    Warnings thrown up

I have asked in the update section but thought maybe soemone this security section could help as I haven't got any answers per se 'of the problem.

I have cleaned the drives and clean installed three times on three different drives and on those installs I get the warnings (as per pics) either before the version is updated to 1809 or after it has. These warnings come out of the blue and I have made sure that I only download what essential programs like the printer driver and sound card driver and add Open Shell.

can someone please shed some light on just what these warnings could be from?

Sorry for the poor quality on the pics and what is worrying me is that at the top of the first warning pic there seems to be a Microsoft store logo (four coloured squares)

As a by the by Windows security is showing up nothing but the Eset security did find one threat and removed it but whether it had anything to do with the warning I am not sure, I also ran the Emsisoft Emergency Kit but it found nothing.

    Hi.
These things usually happen when you visit a shady or compromised web site. They are trying to get you to download trojans/infections. If this is happening after a clean install, then you must be visiting the same infected site(s), or using sync on your browser. Never click on any box like this - even clicking the X to close the box can start the download of a trojan or some other infection. If you use Task Manager to close the browser, the popup fake infection windows should close also.

Definitely looks like a fake pop-up from a website. Do you see this outside of the browser?

Can you get to Task Manager when this happens to see what is running?

    Run Malwarebytes anti-malware full scan.
    Run Windows Defender Offline scanner.

Thansk for the replies folks I am usually in a browser and the last time it happened was when I was going into Outlook while the 1809 update was initialising.

I only know that besides the sites in the pic I only do emailing, YouTube, Wikipedia, and Ebay as my main sites.

As for syncing I am not sure what is meant by that and I don't know how I would access task manager while it was going on.

So just for curiosities sake would a reboot get rid of it?? because I really am not sure what site is producing this.Warnings thrown up-shell.png

To get to Task Manager, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and select Task Manager. May or may not work.

Ok mate I shall do that and I am about to clean install 1809 from a stick or a DVD ISO cannot make up my mind which one to use as I have one no problem drive installed for the Microsoft DVD but it is the media I used for the other installs.

By sync, I mean, if you log into the account for your browser, so that it can save and share your settings across all your devices. Chrome and Firefox have accounts you can set up, so all your settings and add-ons sync across all your devices. Edge uses your MS account to do the same thing. So, for instance, if you had a "bad" add-on, it would keep coming back after every clean install, as soon as you sync browser settings.

I se simrick now I don't know quite what to do then because all my settings return after a clean install even things like pics on my desktop so if I am reading what you are syaing as right then I am going to be stuck with the warnings problem and the only thing I can do is to close the browser or reboot I suppose.
I think the only thing I have to remember is do that if the warnings come up again as long as I don't click on the cross or that download button.

Thanks for everyone's help but it looks like I am stuck with it though my other 10 machine has never had that warning come up is a little baffling to me.

I assume you have tried AdwCleaner & Malwarebytes (free)? Try the Chrome cleanup tool https://www.lifewire.com/chrome-cleanup-tool-4169872

The next step would be to save your bookmarks then completely uninstall Chrome.

Resinstall Chrome, restore your bookmarks and deselect any sync options
