    Is this ransomware?

I was looking for something in ebay, using edge on 18317 build, when a box flashed onto the screen telling me that 3 viruses had been detected. I shut down the internet immediately. I then ran Malwarebytes free and nothing was detected, so I ran the WD offline scan, and later a full WD scan. Nothing was detected.
Later, I was running the same pc with W10 Professional using a different ssd and the same thing happened, and I performed the same scans with no hits.
    Any thoughts?

Are you able to provide us with screenshots by chance?

    @tinmar49 -

Did you do a complete scan with MBAM and ensured that "check for rootkits" was checked?

Please PM me the website and I will use my resources on my end. Please do not post it publicly.

    TIA

Detected by what, if by WD, it should be in history. If it just said detected, it was merely a harmless popup.

I googled MBAM and nothing in the results made any sense whatsoever. If it is a harmless popup, do you recommend responding to it?

No, that is exactly, what it wants. Just take a screenshot and post it.
Maybe you have some PUP installed, which is generating them.

Clean browser's cache, check scheduled tasks (for fileless malware).
An additional scan via Norton Power Eraser would not hurt either.

In Edge Settings/advanced settings make sure the block pop ups option is on.
I also run flash off by default and the uBlock Origin extension as per upthread.

    Well...

Chances are that a genuine detection was made and that's where it stopped.
If I had the URL, I would know within a minute.

Sometimes, sneaky malware does get through.
Seen it many times on vulnerable systems.

    FWIW
