    They had previously posted that it was moving by itself. Usually that can happen if you have say a touchpad on a laptop enabled when the mouse is connected, or someone has been able to remote in and messes with you. Annoyance issues like this is something that dates back to the days of Windows 95. Did you not know that when hardware acts up, it is automatically has to be some kind of unknown, not to be found virus/worm/trojan.

    Now of course if the OP has installed "Mouse Jiggler" or "Caffeine" to keep the cursor moving, has the mouse sitting on a glass surface, or even shiny that can cause the mouse to bounce the "Laser", which can make it think that it is getting a moving input, that can also cause these issues, same as a defective or failing mouse.
