    I have the same problem. I tried setting that registry value in my admin account but I can't write to the key (see below for Registry error and Event Log entry). Any ideas how to fix this? This is a glaring bug which Microsoft should have trapped before release.

    If you read this before edit...disregard. I thought that the OEM partition created by Windows update install had something to do with Offline scan. I was able to get it to run twice...but a third time later in the day failed. I have the registry entry listed above by the way and it still doesn't work.

Just did a Windows Defender Offline Scan and wondering what the results are? All it showed during the scan was how many files are being scanned and the percentage completed. That is all. Even if no threats were detected, at least it should...
Windows Defender offline scan won't run

I try to run WDO from the GUI, I get the UAC message "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device", and when I click Yes, it goes back to the Windows Defender GUI without running the scan.
Windows Defender Offline scan results?

Just performed a Windows Defender Offline scan and the system rebooted afterwards. How can I check the results since the scan did not indicate any results from the offline scan?
