    failure to install Kaspersky antivirus 2019

    Greetings
    it is the first time after many years of using and renewing Kaspersky antivirus that it happens to me.
    I already paid and received a new license but I'm in 2018. downloaded a small starter and it fails after restart with error 1326.
    Tried to address local and international Kaspersky support with no response.
    Can anyone help please?
    thank you

    Hi.
    Have you tried completely removing it and then reinstalling new?

    Hi there

    @zivshosh

    With the latest versions of Windows on HOME individual / personal computers (not Corporate / company laptops) any other A/V product on the latest versions of Windows 10 is just a waste of resources and money provided WD is working and you let it update which it does very frequently.

    YMMV but these days W10 is so much better protected than W7 which is when all those 3rd party A/V products were really needed. Also back in those days hacking was more of a prankster idea. Today hacking companies / cloud servers and organisations is big business -- nobody cares about a few individuals machines - there's no money in that.

    Besides you are far more likely to get hacked by simple scamming such as fake tax refund notices, requests to send money to a different bank for a supplier (e.g mortgage solicitor, builder etc) than the one the supplier originally gave, fake Airbnb stuff for accommodation that doesn't exist, replying to emails from unknown senders etc etc. No A/V software can protect you or your money against those -- only BRAINPOWER can do that. !!!

    3rd party A/V for Home computers these days is just DEAD -- no need for it. WD works just fine on W10 and with the number of new builds and updates appearing for W10 Ms is the only company that can possibly keep the AV system up to date and working properly.

    If you want to spend extra money or slow your machine down (or both) just go ahead. I'll bet with a few safe surfing rules, avoiding warez / torrent sites, not giving out personal info on social media sites and knowing what the typical scams are 99.9% of people will never get any infections on their machines.

    In any case always take clean backups (macrium etc) so if the worst does happen then a restore is far quicker than any amount of "cleansing" work and will be 100% reliable too.

    Cheers
