    Windows Defender AntiVirus

    Hello,
Today I saw on the screen a notice from windows defender (?) as on attached screenshot. It is for the first time, this notice never came before.
I did not press any button on this notice, just took the screenshot to send to you for advice.
Windows defender is updated allways, sometimes twice a day, when starting computer I run a scan, nothing found.
Do you know something about it, what shell I do if it comes again.
    Answers will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Motim

    Hello,
After receiving this answer, made a Google search about this issue. I saw that many people got same notice. From their Q&A I have learned that MS is trying to steal some privacy info. So I do not click any button and do not send them anything.
    Thanks for the answer.

What privacy info do you think Microsoft is trying to steal, and what do you think they intend to do with that information?

If you don't trust Microsoft, you should turn off sample submission at Start> Settings> Update & Security> Windows Security> Virus & threat protection> Manage settings> Automatic sample submission.

Did you click "View All"? It may be an innocent thing... WD has to get file info otherwise it blocks everything

Regarding Windows telemetry, it is lot more stealthy than that.. ... ....

For me, I stopped buying into the hype of AVG, Norton, and McAfee.

The only things now that I use on my computer are the Auslogics Suite (which includes Auslogics Anti-Malware), Adguard (tried the free version at first - liked the vibe I got from its forums and so I purchased a lifetime subscription for two computers), and the Windows Defender.

Has anybody but me used the Auslogics Anti-Malware scanner program for Windows? I have heard of Malwarebytes. I paid for Aulogics Anti-Malware site and Auslogics other programs (I was able to find eCoupons that discounted the price a lot more than going with the "renewal pricing" plan). I do NOT use CHEAP software! I would like to think I use great software at cheaper prices...lol.

But seriously, Auslogics Anti-Malware vs Malwarebytes, which is better?

After experiencing a lot of issues from all third-party AV vendors, I exclusively use Windows Defender on all my W10 machines. Free, powerful and without bells-and-whistles. It just gets its work done.

Tried WIndows Defender a bit on Laptop and Main WIndows 10 Desktop, seemed to make my fans run a bit louder for some reason, Think i removed Avast properly though, Should i try to remove Avast again, and give Defender one final shot?

Restoring an Image gets somehow my Windows 10 Home Key from UEFI bios for Desktop, and Pro won't work after that.

Overall though Defender is nice with no ad popups, or such, May give it another shot, or buy another SSD at Christmas, and do a complete system clean up
