Is this a legitimate message that came to my gmail inbox?

StanXXXX Sign-in attempt was blocked stanXXXX@gmail.com Someone just used your password to try to sign in to your account. Google blocked them, but you should check what happened.

Most likely yes Google is very good and blocking scams etc does it give an ip of the attempt?

Always assume it is suspect and never click on any link.

Access your Gmail Account via a Web Browser and check recent history.
Go to Account Icon > Google Account and check in Security > Device activity & security events, it gives you 28 days worth of that.

Never display your Email address on websites, bots will collect such addresses and put you on a mugs list for spamming.
