Thanks. I just posted to show an example of where using Group Policy Editor has no effect. Regarding the Disallow Run key you can also get the same result using Image File Execution Options with Debugger do block named executables.
Example. Block notepad.exe
Code:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\notepad.exe]"Debugger"="mshta \"javascript:var sh=new ActiveXObject( 'WScript.Shell' ); sh.Popup( 'This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator', 10, 'Message!', 64 );close()\""
