BitLocker-encrypted UFDs freeze the system (sometimes)

I insert the UFD, the window to enter the password to unlock it doesn't appear. I open Windows Explorer and click on the UFD. Explorer freezes, a rotating circle appears. Task Manager doesn´t open. I continue working anyway. Word freezes, then the whole system.

If I unplug the UFD before the total freeze, stop working and wait, after several minutes the window to enter the password appears, and the system resumes its normal operation.

It happens with 4 different encrypted UFDs, but it doesn't happen in another computer with any of them, neither with non-encrypted UFDs.

It happens with Windows 10 1809 and 1803, and with the front and back USB 3.0 ports.

And it doesn't happen every time. Sometimes I can unlock the UFD in the usual way.

The computer is working well except for this problem. No issues in Device Manager, no issues with the hard disk.

Any idea about how to solve this?

    Hello Anibor,
I have the same issue with different drives and different computers with the same configuration. Have you came across any solution yet?

I haven´t found any solution. An alternative to encrypt UFDs is to use VeraCrypt. I am trying encrypted VHDKs. I have also found some problems, but no freezes.
