I notice that after update to 1809 Windows resumed posting notifications about my Windows Firewall's being turned off. I tried several methods of disabling this notification found on the Net, including making changes under
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Notifications\Settings
but it had no effect. Windows still issues these complaints. Is there a way to disable these notifications?
In windows 10 1809 defender is posting notifications even after altering registry.

"Enabled"=dword:00000000
The registry did work for disabling firewall and defender notification on windows 10 1803.
Any other method on windows 1809?
Hide non-critical notifications seems to work for me Enable or Disable Notifications from Windows Defender Security Center | Windows 10 Tutorials
Defender Notifications pop-up also gives you the option to see fewer notifications.
Question: Why would you disable Firewall. Just curious! Would MS update not re-enable it for security purposes?

I'm talking about disabling notifications through registry on windows 1809.
Are the notifications warning you your Firewall is turned OFF or poor choices of sites that your visiting?
I haven't tested, but you might see if turning off messages for "Network firewall" and/or "Internet security settings" may help with this.

I agree with Shawn, there are various options one could try - my setting above worked as both Defender and Windows firewall are turned off. I just kept getting the error that my PC is at risk etc - even tho' Kaspersky and Comodo were running fine..
