Phis sing, Scam or Genuine?

I hadn't used my Hotmail account in awhile and had to do the restore/verification of it, was given 4 choices of how and one was by an alternate E-Mail, one by last 4 digits of either house phone or cellphone to receive a code to enter, no big problem and only took a few minutes.

I think it wiser to close all my MS accounts: long.live.com, hotmail.com, skype.com and me&wife@

Am worried about this. Don't really need problems - self inflicted or otherwise at my age

The links are legit, but it seems, that someone is trying to gain access to your account using recovery.

You can enable 2 factor authentication to secure it further: Sign in to your Microsoft account

By the way, please edit your previous post and remove the content, you have some emails there visible.

MSAccounts ask, during verification procedures, for the last four digits of the contact telephone number that you registered on that MSAccount.

Are you sure that you were asked about the last four digits of your credit card number?
