So is that a setting in the Pro version of Malwarebytes, to make Norton the primary scanner?

Thanks, and on your system with Norton 360, do you also have the Free Malwarebytes running on it ??
    Thanks Cliff M.
If you read my original quote it says Malwarebytes Pro That is not the freeware program. :)

I don't have any setting for that, the tech at Malwarebytes told me its in Malwarebytes programming to check it automatically. No user setting for that feature. So I guess they made it idiot poof, if you know what I mean. :)

One other thing DeaconFrost, I bought Malwarebytes so long ago, that I have a Lifetime subscription for all future updates. I own two separate copies of Malwarebytes. One license for each of my computers. They stopped offering that package at least a year ago now. Very nice deal at the time. :)

I remember that. It was a nice deal at the time, unfortunately not being offered now. That's nice that Malwarebytes incorporates that system check in their app. Most do not, and that's why running two scanners is often a bad idea. That gives me even more faith in their product, even though I've had a ton already.

That's what happens when you exchange a bloated AV with other bloated AV in terms of OS integration/hindering it's operation.
Bitdefender Free is anything but bloated. Norton? It depends on whether you want the features or not. There is a special uninstaller for Bitdefender Free since the regular one doesn't get it all.

Get the BD Free uninstall tool here--http://www.bitdefender.com/files/Kno...nstalltool.exe

There is now a rumor from Bitdefender on Twitter that there will be a new Free version coming but they don't say when.

I'm currently using Panda Free and really liking it. It scans inserted USB drives and also has a gaming mode.

Nortons checks all files downloaded, also web sites I visit. If Norton misses something, then Malwarebytes will kick in. Most of the time Norton doesn't miss much, but I have seen Norton do nothing about a file, and Malwarebytes will give me a warning msg.
THEY do work together. Most of the time Malwarebytes will take a back seat to Norton. Windows 10 does recognize only Norton in the security page as my firewall and virus/spyware protection. Does not even see Malwarebytes. No conflict.
Good to know, always liked Malwarebytes as a second scanner, but to know can coexist running with another AV is good, considering sometimes there is conflicts when doing so. Probably been this way for awhile, just never knew as i use Norton Security 2015.
