    Windows Defender Wants to Reset Chrome

    Frequently when I reboot my work machine I get this pop-up about resetting Chrome. If Chrome settings need changing, I'll do it myself. Anyone know how stop this message from re-appearing?
    {Happens on Main System as listed in My Computers. current Windows version is 1803, but happened on vr 1709 also.}

    I've never seen anything like that ever in Windows. Never. Looks like something wants all your settings in Chrome. That could include most anything, like passwords, history, searched sites, you name it. I'm probably all wrong, but that looks a bit suspicious.

    I run Defender at all times, but I guess I'll run Mbytes and a couple of other things Just In Case. Thanks for the reply.

    Thanks. That tends to confirm something unwanted is in there doing unwanted things. Hacking a reg entry to get around it should never be necessary. And may well not be a permanent fix.

    Just to be sure, I ran Mbytes, Defender Offline, Avira Portable and Chrome's Clean up computer function . None reported any problems.
