In the past I was looking for a lot of security solutions. I saw a lot of good and bad reviews and comments on the Internet but I don't know what to believe.
Can you clear me ? Is it the Windows Defender the best security solution for my Windows ? Has it a good threat-database to help me for protecting all data of my PC or laptop ?

NO! i personally use bitdefender total security, malware bytes, and ccleaner. with that said there are plenty of great third party security suites out there. now if you're interest bitdefender does have a 90 trial, just have to google for it.
I know Bitdefender 'cuz is a product made in Romania. It is the most appreciated security-solution ever. I was using Malwarebytes, but for temporary scans.
And now, I'm using CCleaner for cleaning that help me to clean our history, cache & cookies. Neither Windows Defender it's not a bad way to protect our personal data.

The main danger is the User themselves not the particular Security application installed.
Personally I do not like WD, but I have to admit, that it is constantly getting better, in term of protection, not in terms of performance or usability (GUI). To sum it up, it is good enough. Yet, why not try something else, if you do not like, you can easily uninstall it. It is like with a chocolate, if you like milk chocolate, but never tried dark or white, you do not know, what you might be missing. You might not like either or you might fall in love with both. In regards to AVs, it might be some additional features, like blocking URLs, ransomware protection, perfomance, etc. I just love FortiClient, it is light and its webfilter blocks 99% malware links and adult pages.

I was using Kaspersky antivirus but now just use Defender due to security concerns over Kaspersky plus my bank stopped providing a free licence for it.
Security wise, WD is quite good enough for experienced users, it even started flagging PuPs and such.
On the usability side, only if you wan't to run it as it is on it's defaults and agree and act on it's recommendations as it is set, it's passable. In other words, let it do what it wants and you'd be alright. Any attempt on customization ends up in warning. Black and white lists are pain in the you know what and it can be twitchy and flag things it shouldn't.
Updates to malware base are as often as any other AVs, several times a day and are fast and small but (there's always a "but") if you restrict other updates, WD updates are also restricted.
