Don't know what "Actions Recommended" means

    Greetings,

I tried asking this in Microsoft Answers and have tried all the responses there.

I created a second standard user account, and Windows Defender Security Center says "Actions Recommended." When I open it, Security at a glance shows all icons green.

On my administrative user account, it says "no actions needed."

I have Norton AntiVirus Online 22.15.0.88 installed.

I see someone else had this problem and fixed it by turning periodic scanning off. Periodic scanning has always been off here, though, so that fix didn't work for me.

    Thanks,
    Shane.

Try clicking on each heading to the left.

I have one red heading under account protection which I think is generating my "Attention Required"

I'm guessing the message is because I use a Local account / password.

It is also not giving me a green check mark on Domain Network.

    Is yours similar?

Yes, except all headings are green, including the one for account protection.

I have a green checkmark for the Domain network.

Under Virus and threat heading click on Windows Defender AntiVirus issues.

Turn on periodic scaning. Norton will cough, ignore it.

In the options that opening you will notice a heading Ransomware and it wants Onedrive. There is a Dismiss under it.

I dismissed mine and yellow triangle went away.

    See what yours says.

I assume you then have to shut off periodic scanning to make Norton happy.
