Malwarebytes Blocking Latest VLC Installer

I have tried to update VLC but Malwarebytes is blocking it stating PUP. I tried downloading it and also in place update but both were flagged.

Got exactly the same thing using VLC in-built update. MBAM thinks it's try to exploit me! I went to the site and DL'd it from there, unblocked it, and it updated from the installer file without choking. If you haven't try that again.

(I'm using the 64-bit, but shouldn't make any difference)

I would think so, yes. Hard to tell what MBAM would consider "exploit". If it's from a heuristic hit, then it's probably the way VLC is wording the update request or something.

Malwarebytes is getting more ridiculous each day, I am waiting for the day, when it finally removes itself.

Managed to install it ok direct from their site.

VLC, I believe, Jimbo. That's what we were cht-chatting about a few posts back. MBAM having a fickle-fit with the in-line VLC update, but go to VLC site and get it and do manual, ok.
