    ThreatFire (is the best)

I have been using Threatfire for years , trusted it over UAC any day
    http://www.wilderssecurity.com/threa...atfire.299708/

But Win10 spat the dummy at it , when doing the upgrade from WIN 7 64 bit, so had to uninstall it
I'm running a SSD and tried to re-install Threatfire , once I had Win 10 up and running .
Threatfire ,installed fine , then started the first scan , got passed the firewall, green tick , and then was checking for my AntiVirus, when windows crashed lol, and gave the error message of a page file error. I have just the Anti-virus version of ESET NOD32 and under Win 7 64 bit had no issues with Threatfire.
Restarted Win 10 np. But Threatfire was disable or incomplete, a corrupted installation

Really would like to run Threatfire, any clue how to go about it ,?

I also uninstall Window Defender after trying everything else first https://www.raymond.cc/blog/how-to-d...nder-in-vista/ as I was getting a very annoying , popups about Windows defender group policy ,that WD wont be running, every time Win 10 started.

Under my old OS WIN 7 ( two days ago) Windows defender was just disabled but I had Threatfire.

I'm now trying this out Mamutu as a threatfire alternative

Threatfire is no longer being developed and is discontinued so i doubt it will work on any new operating system.

Because it's not supported anymore and not developed and therefore will not work as its not a compatible piece of software.

U must not understand you can not make it run it will not run point blank, as it was never made to run on win 10 or win 8 or 8.1 you got lucky that it even ran on windows 7 lucky really lucky, unless you know a software person to fix it then the answer is it will not run at all. Nobody here is going to know how to make it run as they don't know how to fix it for win 10, and hacking a software is against software TOS therefore nobody is going to fix it or make it work, as its protected by copyrights and the law. even though it is not developed anymore. If you really want to know how to fix it why not ask symantec as that is who bought PC tools and that is who use to own Threatfire.

here try this if you can get it to install right-clicking an application’s .exe file or shortcut, selecting Properties, clicking the Compatibility tab, and selecting a version of Windows the program worked properly on.

You really need to get your head examined if you still insist on running Threatfire, since updates have not been forthcoming from them since March 2012, lord only knows how many nasties have been put in circulation since then.
