Thanks Edwin, I did 'Dismiss', but knowing MS pushing, i might get the same error again.. I wanted really prevent that from bothering me again if there is a fix for that!

I think it's a BAD IDEA to turn those security options OFF.

Please can someone explain to me in "Plain English" or any other type of English what "Cloud Security Protection" actually means and does. Is this any different to how your A/V software should be protecting your computer in the first place -- Cloud device after all is only another Remote Network device even if the server could be situated on Planet Pluto.

I'm not sure if any A/V protection scheme can protect you against any possible users of Cloud servers from the entire planet.

Even Google and Amazon have the odd problem now and again - and some of the smaller players might be just anxious to get money from subscribers to the service rather than pony up front enough $$$'s or Roubles etc to pay for sufficient security to keep their servers 100% clean.

The A/V system on your computer should be able to handle like they say in USA " protect against all threats Foreign and Domestic"

I use Norton Security and it checks for definition updates every hour. There are different updates for different features of the program and they are not always updated on an hourly basic. They also have a "cloud" service called SONAR.

Symantec Online Network for Advanced Response (SONAR) identifies emerging threats based on the behavior of files. It detects malicious code before virus definitions are available through LiveUpdate and protects you from advanced threats.

My bank gives me an account statement every Month but I can go online and check my account anytime I want. I don't want to wait a Month to discover a problem.

I don't use Windows Defender but here's a good explanation of what it is and how it works.
