Yes, I do have Bitlocker enabled. But what does activation mean in that case?
The "Pad Lock" symbol is showing "Unlocked". You need to activate it.

It is obviously unlocked when I'm using the system. This is a normal behavior. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to make that screenshot.
I just realized though (since you brought up bitlocker) that if I right click it and then go to manage bitlocker it shows this little gem:
So if I click "Resume protection" the exclamation mark and suspension goes away.
The big question now is why tf was it suspended?
No problem. You clued me in to the issue.
Although, a "process had to suspend it". What? There should be no way for any process to access the encryption on my disk. If so this is a major security flaw!
Also how about popping a giant red popup on my screen as soon as that happens to let me know? Instead of this sh*t:
I too use BitLocker why was it suspended? I don't know unless by accident it was manually suspend, or a recent system glitch suspended the protection. This tutorial has a good explanation on BitLocker and turning ON-OFF features.

My only guess is that during one of those annoying Windows updates (that take about an hour) that we get once a year or so, Microsoft disabled it but then forgot to enable it back or there might have been an error or something and it got left out. I just wish that they used their own notification system to warn people about it instead of showing their "Get office 360" popups.
