Win 10 Ransomware protection blocks iTunes

edit: I think I figured it out. Added iTunes application as an allowed app. Not sure if it defeats the purpose of the Ransomware protection though.

Enabled ransomware protection and now iTunes won't open. If I turn it off iTunes opens fine. I assume its because a default folder that iTunes uses (Music?) is part of the protected folders. I use the iTunes program, not the new app that MS recently added to their store.

I searched and see no other reports of this and cant figure out how to add iTunes to the whitelist. So its either disable Win 10's newest security feature or not be able to use iTunes.

bru Just a thought, would you be running Malwarebytes and Windows ransomware piggyback. If "Yes" personally, I would turn Windows ransomware protection OFF and run Malwarebytes.

Yes. So they shouldn't both be used? Frankly I'm not sure how much I trust MBAM anymore. And as for MS even if I have the Ransomware protection enabled it tells me the protection is "unknown". I could swear before it had a green check mark.
