Quarentined File Still In Folder

    Quarentined File Still In Folder


    Had a Windows Defender detection of a file this morning, It was a 1.4 mb file. it was quarentined, but the file is stil in the folder and now says it's 0 bytes. Is it safe just to delete the 0 bytes file?

    Open Defender and remove the quarantined file in 'Threat history'. That will delete it.

    I did that, the quarentined file is gone but the now 0 bytes file is still in the folder

    Use F5 to refresh to folder view. You should find the file has gone. If it is still there then it is safe to just delete it.
