Hi and thanks for that info.
Avast is you active AV, and so Defender is disabled to prevent conflicts. It's all good.

You're on v1803, so no major update to deal with right now - good.

As far as the suspicious flag from HMP, let me explain a bit:
svchost.exe is "called" by many apps/operations within the operating system. If you open Task Manager and look in the Details tab, you will see multiple instances of svchost.exe running. This is common. It is also common for many viruses and/or malware to modify this system file for nefarious reasons. So, we just want to be sure that it is not infected. Here is how we do that:

    1. verify that svchost.exe is running from the proper location, and
    2. verify that the image for svchost.exe is intact and has not been modified.

You can right-click on any of the columns in the Details tab of Task Manager and choose "select columns", adding in a column for Image Path Name. Then verify that each instance of svchost.exe is actually running from the correct location, which is C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe.

With all the scans that you have run already, we would have found an infected svchost.exe.

So, unless you are still experiencing any problems with your system, I think you are good to go.

I had read up on the svc host ...I didn't fully understand but since I was not having probs, I just ignored it. Everything seems to be running pretty smooth now, it's nice to be back to normal, so thank you so much for taking the time to help me. I think this is truly solved now....have a great day. Thanks.
