April Update Public User and Controlled Folder Access

Since installing the April Update I'm having a problem with the Public User on my system. I have four users - an administrative user, a standard user, the default user, and the public user. I generally use the public user for information that I would like to access from either the Administrative or the Standard User. Never had a problem until now. One other piece of info - I've been using Controlled Folder Access since it was introduced and have had no problems other than having to occasionally give access privileges to a new application.

Now, since the April Update, I either am not permitted to save a file to the public area or need to enter the administrative user password before the save is completed. Also, if I try to copy a file from the standard user to the public user, it says the file no longer exists in the standard user (really weird). Trying to copy and paste the file to another folder within the standard user works with no problem. Something has really screwed up usage of the public folder. Anyone else experience this?

An Update To The Problem Described

I logged in this morning and the problems I described above seemed to have somehow fixed themselves.

    A few facts:
    1. I had been having these problems for several days and searched for solutions before posting.
    2. I completely power down my computer at the end of the day and start fresh in the AM
    3. While I'm not an IT professional, I am not a windows novice and considered the local guru - In other words, I'm pretty familiar with diagnosing and solving problems and am successful about 99% of the time.
    4. I'm not aware of what was different today versus the last few days. However, I have to assume that some application I was using must have caused a problem that self-corrected with last evening's power down.
    5. FYI, the types of apps that Controlled Folder Access was blocking yesterday included winword, excel, windows explorer, runtimebroker, etc. (when I say blocking, I refer to blocking access to the Public User).
    6. Strange. Will probably happen again since I really did nothing to actually fix the problem.
