    You are welcome.
Did the clean install go smoothly?
Which antivirus software did you decide to use?
Was the first full scan clean?
Had you made a backup image?

    Hi zbook,

To answer your questions, no I didn't clean install. I decided to just use Win Defender and occasionally use rkill and adwcleaner. I'm not sure which full scan you mean since I used many AVs. But overall they came back clean. Yes I made a backup and will be making another backup after I upgrade firefox.

Hope these answer all your questions.

    Hi zbook,

I tried to backup win 10 with macrium. But I get an error. Attached are an image and error log. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

    See rule #4
Forum Rules - Windows 10 Help Forums

Please remove the Malwarebytes and iorbit lines in your hosts file.
If there are other crack related things on your system please remove them as well.
Again, consider clean install with the residual detected malware after multiple scans.

Compliance with the piracy violation needs to be verified.
There is a forum that may be able to help once there are no longer any piracy violations.

    Hi zbook,

As I mentioned before there are no piracy software on my PC anywhere.

Malwarebytes and iorbit are not in my hosts file. A user from the other thread helped me remove them completely. My host file is therefore clean.

I can verify all of the above if you wish me to in compliance with forum rules. Just let me knkw how to and I'll oblige.

    zbook,

Below is a link to the log from scf /scannow. Take a look and let me know. If this doesnt fix things I'll just clean install but I'd rather not.

    scannow CBS.log - Google Drive

And again as I mentioned in pm, I dont have any cracks on my PC as far as I know. Thanks.

You can always try the Other Tasks "Fix VSS Problems" menu item in Macrium Reflect. It might restore the program to working condition.
