Hi I am currently trying to allow a program to my firewall exceptions, but the button to add app is greyed out, I have tried to click on the change settings button, and that then goes from white to grey and nothing happens.
I am the only user on the PC, and an administrator profile.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

It is allowed for private networks. What's wrong?
Perhaps, what is bothering you, that you're trying to change some of the system components. Go to Advanced Firewall settings, where you can see some more info..
One thing... if you are about to play with settings, could be good idea to make a backup of your current settings:

no, the app/program I want to add is not on that list, I need to allow another app but it is greyed out, and the change settings button greys out, nothing to do with the router thats just highlighted as the first option in the app tab.
I can see one significant change in your second screenshot, look carefully at the 'Allow another app...' button at the bottom of the table. It was greyed out in the first screenshot, it's enabled in the second.I need to allow another app but it is greyed out, and the change settings button greys out,
Click it and you should be able to add a new app, if necessary by browsing to find it...
