Is Windows defender and Malwarebytes pro enough? (Win10)

I'm just curious if Malwarebytes coupled with Windows defender is enough. I would like to add I use the internet quite a bit so I would like solid protection. I know windows defender doesn't have the BEST detection rate but I would hope Malwarebytes could pickup whatever windows defender left. What do you guys think?

the majority of "veterans" on this site recommend and use that combo, so I switched to it a couple of months ago, and have had ZERO issues...and I use the internet/email/web stuff ALOT, for both personal and professional reasons..

I've been using 'Security Essentials' Defenders predecessor and Malwarebytes ( non-pro ) for the last few years on Windows 7 (multiple machines) before moving to 10 a few days ago.

I also use the internet quite a bit and have also had zero issues.

A lot of your 'online protection' really stems from behavior. Where you go, what you download etc,. Whatever few random items get through good habits, Defender and Malwarebytes have had no problem detecting and cleaning up.

I can't comment on Windows Defender, but I highly recommend Malwarebytes Pro (with real time protection) as a second line of defense. What did you use on your previous OS?

In my experience with Norton and Malwarebytes they can play well together, but running 2 AV programs isn't recommended as they can create conflicts and other annoying issues. I am also a CC sub and I do not use Norton I use Malwarebytes as its never let me down . Even when removing some pesky rootkits . Again this is merely my personal opinion , I have been working in tech support for 6+ years , and always recommend Malwarebytes especially since its free (granted free version doesn't have all the features of the Pro version).

Defender and mwb pro on my machine as well, never had any issue and left all settings to default. I read somewhere something about setting an exclusion in each for the other but I never did that. The only odd thing that happens to me is when I open windows defender through the windows 10 new window and then view defender until you see what looks exactly like what MSE window used to look like, I get a white brick wall icon in system try until I restart my pc. Maybe its a coincidence but I seems like my fans run real hard whenever that happens as well until restart.
