    Kaspersky Script Injection

Warning received after turning off Kaspersky JavaScript Injection. I want my system to be secure, but the slowdown is unacceptable. Any thoughts from those who use Kaspersky?

You do not really need or want that function, it actually lowers browser's security.
You can use extensions to increase security, like Netcraft to block phishing.

I don't have any slowdown problem. What's your browser or browsers?

I use Firefox, and let me stress, there was a significant slowdown. And Firefox warned me as well of the script injection was causing a significant slowdown.

I use a few browsers including Firefox and have no problem. Did you manually import certificate?

    Kaspersky Script Injection-certs.jpg

    Certificate is here:

    "C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP18.0.0\Data\Cert\(fake)Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Root Certificate.cer"

Also try clearing FF cache. I use this addon:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...forget-button/

The issue is likely to be with your firefox installation since I cannot reproduce the problem.

Also do you have any kind of script blocking addons installed? If so you'd need to configure:

I did not install the certificate manually, however, it appears to be there because when I hover over the green lock on any site, it displays, Verified by: AO Kaspersky Lab.

I reinstalled Firefox, and I will keep this thread open because I want to see if it resolves the issue and thank-you for your support.

FYI: Reinstalling Firefox doesn't usually fix much unless it's a clean install of firefox with the old version(s) fully removed.

Always backup profile before updating or clean installing Firefox:

    Hekasoft Backup & Restore Download
Use it to backup your current FF Profile. Or use this:

    MozBackup

See here about what to check for removal after uninstall:

You could just try launching Firefox with all addons disabled to see if it makes any difference.

Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode | Firefox Help

    command line is:

    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode
