You could try Ublock Origin for Edge. Its not NoScript but is a fine program that works about the same that is developed by a reputable developer. If I was using Edge I would be using it. The program is not easy to learn but once you do, you can use it to turn the sharks of the internet into sardines. Read the comments in the link bellow. Thanks Bo, I have that in my plans now. You know, when I look for extensions and apps, it's pretty overwhelming to me because although it's nice there are "umpteen" choices I do not know which ones to go for unless I see recommendations such as yours in conjunction with how my computer performs. My computer performs very well but at the present time those scam Adobe Flash Player popups are certainly not welcome.
--- At the present time Reinstalling and Re-registering Edge is working fine but I'm monitoring my computer for at least 2 weeks in a row to have more confidence to know it continues to be fine.

You are welcome. A malicious extension can hijack your browser and use it to phone home after stealing your banking credentials or credit card numbers and passwords, So, its good to be extremely careful with the extensions and plugins we install. My formula to avoid installing malicious addons is simple, I install as few as possible, the lesser the amount, the better, and only install addons that have been around for a long time, are well known and have a large amount of users. It works. When I started learning real good security, the type that allows nothing to get thru, the first steps in security that I took was to learn about addons.

Like you said, the amount of extensions is overwhelming, there are so many, but not only that, there are some malicious extensions that go with names that sound similar to the name of the real ones. So, is easy for someone who doesn't know the real extension to make the mistake and install one that's malicious that goes by a somewhat similar name. My little formula takes care of that problem.

I ll try to make this short otherwise it ll be a long post. When I started learning about extensions and plugins, I had 13 versions of Java and a bunch of other plugins installed in my Firefox in my XP. I had no idea what Java was, why I had 13 versions of it, what I used it for and whether my computer needed it to run or not. I also thought the 7 or 8 plugins in Firefox came with Firefox. About a month later, after uninstalling 2 or 3 versions of Java at a time until they were all gone, and hoping my computer would reboot OK every time, I ended up learning that I had no use for Java, my computer didn't need Java and in the end, I became safer as I got rid of 13 holes in the computer and never installed Java again. This was a huge step for achieving security for my computer, it was like discovering America. And about the rest of Firefox plugins, in the end I ended up learning that none came with Firefox, I neither had any use for any of them. All of them came to my system with the installation of another program. I learned a great lesson that put me in the right path for achieving solid security for my computers. Ever since, I install no plugins at all. I still use Flash and often but I install it in a sandbox so none from using it can harm my computers. And only use 2 extensions, extensions I use every day and fully trust. When it was over, I was a lot more secure and kept on going learning other stuff on how to prevent getting infected. Never looked back and never seen anything that smells or looks like an infection ever since. This was my beginnings.

It's been 3 weeks now. Re-installing and re-registering Edge helped for only 3 days so that was not the issue.
Installing Edge's uBlock Origin solved the problem - thanks bo.
