Cannot Turn On Core Isolation Memory Integrity in Settings

From Tutorial -> Turn On or Off Core Isolation Memory Integrity in Windows 10 Windows 10 Tutorials

Not able to perform steps in Option 1
Under "Windows Defender Security Center", "Device Security" is not an option.
Winver reports Version 1709 (OS build 16299 402)
    The processor is Intel I3
Virtualization is enabled in system BIOS.

    Please advise.

Your Windows version is too old.

    From the tutorial:
Starting with Windows 10 build 17093, the Device security page was added to the Windows Defender Security Center...
You'll need to upgrade to April update - as it isn't released yet the easiest way (if you don't want to wait) would be to join the insider program for Release Preview ring.

Thank-You for your response, however, I think I will wait. After having read the Microsoft's Insider Program terms of service, I decided against joining. You have to agree to allow Microsoft to potentially take personal information from your computer, and I have decided against that. Do you know when the update will be officially released?

It should released be fairly soon - a few days/weeks probably as it is provisionally named "April update". No-one knows for sure (MS haven't said) - there is a whole 60+ page thread of speculation here which will presumably be updated once there is an announcement.

Not too long anyway. Probably :)

I would think that April update probably means it's coming in April. :) However, Microsoft MAY decide to delay. Le'ts see.

Ok, I now have the update, and I am still not able to turn on core isolation, memory integrity. Receiving message from Microsoft, "This setting is managed by your Administrator" in red letters. I am the administrator, and there are no other users. Is there a setting that I need to change somewhere? Is this an issue that could be caused by Kaspersky's Internet Security?

core isolation was on for me without me doing a thing i think and i use kis. is vt-d and stuff enabled in your bios?
i do notice that i cannot scan a selected file with defender from right click context menu. it tells me something about it admin limiting access.

i didn't turn on memory integrity as i'm not sure what it does and i read here that you can't turn it off without going into registry

and somehow the firewall part says kis is handling the firewall, but under win def firewall bit the toggle is set as on. in control panel it says win def firewall off kis firewall on though. so i'll leave it as is

    ---
my mistake, maybe. i thought core isolation and the memory integrity are 2 separate things and that core isolation was on, since the gfx next to the words "core isolation" has a green tick on it and there's text saying "virtualisation-based security is running to protect the core parts of your device". too chicken still to touch memory integrity.
