I personally like and use Avast Premier, Avast SecureLine VPN, Avast AntiTrack Premium and Malwarebytes Premium.

Starting to get used slowly to Defender, and Malwarebytes Free (can't afford Premium unforuately) hopefully this is enough, if not i'll probably end up restarting using Avast Free if issue happens.

But so far right now all good thus far

Norton, since I have always used it and Malwarebytes both paid for version, have kept me safe for many years. Norton used to be a resource hog but not so much nowadays. Both update daily or hourly at times well up to date with what is going on. MHO

According to that chart, Panda performance is impressive, and with little False Positives. I remember to have tested this AV and it made some regular everyday operations a little slower. Does anybody know if they have corrected that?

I am currently trying out Kaspersky. So far it seems ok, and it provides more than just AV protection, it checks websites, to make sure they are not on a list of phishing sites, I am not sure if I will keep it. I don't have an issue with their recent scandal.

Also consider MalwareBytes, a favorite here on Tenforums. I believe they still will offer a 14 day free trial of the full version, which includes Web protection, anti-exploit, malware and virus protection, among others. There is a thread here on Tenforums dedicated to posting the latest versions and discussion. Give it a look. Info and links to the software are at the top on page #1.

Would advise not running MalwareBytes and Kaspersky together. MalwareBytes does play nice with Defender, though.

    Dear torre,
You had asked, " What is the definition of " User Dependent" ? Here's the answer I received from AV-Comparatives:

Hi, please see e.g. page 5 in this report: https://www.av-comparatives.org/wp-c...t_2017b_en.pdf
"If a user interaction is required and it is up to the user to decide if something is malicious, and in the case of the worst user decision the system gets compromised, we rate this as “user-dependent”. Because of this, the yellow bars in the results graph can be interpreted either as protected or not protected (it’s up to each individual user to decide what he/she would probably do in that situation)."
    Hope that helps..

Thanks for researching the answer !

Understand the meaning now, but don't really understand why they include in overall ratings.
