Lock Icon after moving Bitlocker files.

Hi, I had some folders and files in a drive which were locked by Bitlocker. I did a re-install of my Windows 10 to add a SSD. During this, i just opened the the bitlocker drive with password and moved those files to an external drive(I did not decrypt them before moving). Now, all those moved files and folders have lock icon on them (as in the above image) and i can't open them. I still have my Bitlocker password.

Is there any way to restore them or are there any software available to restore them ?

    your help is much apreciated

    Thanks
    Ajith

BitLocker works on entire drives, not individual files. That looks like the EFS icon.

What happens when you try to open the file? What do the file attributes say?

    Thanks for your reply!!
When i try to open, it says "It looks like you don't have permission to view this file. Check the permission and try again."

Try taking ownership of the files - Change Owner of File, Folder, Drive, or Registry Key in Windows 10 Windows 10 Tutorials

However, it looks like the files are EFS encrypted. Click on Properties->General->Advanced->Details and see who has access to it.

I have tried that. I have logged into the PC with the account displayed in the owner name. Still the attribute detail doesn't show anything.

That's interesting - the Encrypted attribute is set but there's no decryption information associated with the file.

How did you move the files from the old drive to the external drive?
