    AV causing BSOD?

Someone told me Kaspersky AV is risky for bsod's: is this true?
Would Norton (security deluxe) be better for that problem?

    All antivirus products use drivers.
Drivers can become corrupted over time.
Some drivers may have compatibility / incompatibility issues in different computer environments.
Some drivers can be involved in other driver crashes and not be the root cause.
We have fixed BSOD related to: Norton, Symantec, Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Avast, AVG, ESET, Avira, Comodo, F-Secure, Malwarebytes, Mcafee, Panda, Superantispyware, TrendMicro, etc.

To check for BSOD run this beta log collector and post a zip into this thread:
    Use extract > open
    log collector v2-beta08.zip
If the beta log collector does not work then use the DM log collector:

To add to zbook's post, the following AV's are onces I have rarely seen in BSOD's in years.
    • Kaspersky
    • Bitdefender
    • F-Secure
    • Malwarebytes
    • Panda
    • ESET
    • Comodo

The following are the most common in my experience
    • Norton / Symantec
    • Avast
    • AVG
    • Avira
    • McAfee
