I have been using Anti-WebMiner. I simple execute antiwebminer.exe /c on start up, and it automatically updates my HOST file. The program also allows manual updates.

    I do , too. BUT.....

Anti-Webminer contains < 500 entries. The Gitlab file has over 2600. Here's a copy of both in my hosts file. I also have entries to block the annoying ads in Skype.

    hosts.zip

    Your choice.

I see. I remember years back (pre-Win 10), when I used Hostman to update my HOST file (sources: MVS Hosts and/or Malwarebytes hpHosts) and the list got very large, my Net speed became as slow as molasses. You don't experience that?

For anti-malware and other purposes, especially for mobile devices, I always go for Steven Black's lists.

    Hi,
Maybe the host file will add some of this sludge
Razer SoftMiner uses your GPU to mine cryptocurrency

Yesterday I had a total what the heck moment when I received a message from forum user Angantyr informing me that Razer partnered with a company called "GammaNow", their plans are this, they want you to use their mining software. You mine for it, and Razer keeps the coins.

Thanks Trashzone to revive this thread.

Want to remind anybody who uses this list, that host_browsers file wasn't updated for whole month, but hosts list (the one with over 12000 entries was updated several times. It is complete list, also for malware serving sites, but have no idea, what was updated.

Yes indeed, thank you. I've been checking a time or two daily and wondering what was up. Now I'm updated again.
