Yes, it hit me this morning all three computers that were turned on. I just black Screened forcing me to use a hard shutdown. On restart, Mbam was disabled and could not connect to the server. I ran a full Norton scan which found nothing.
What I did was just restore a C:\ partition on all three computers. Everything is fine for now at this point.
I would say this hit me at around 11:00 Central by 13:00 I have restored all three computers with images backed up yesterday and now have no issues

Web Protection off caused by a bad update and also caused very high CPU/Memory usage.

Problem fixed a few minuets ago with update 1.0.3803.

After getting update you need to quit MB and restart it.

Makes you tense up with numbers like that. Just updated to the fix and back to normal. I did have to restart twice to get Web Protection to stay enable.

    Good Luck everyone.

    You think that is bad?

Woke up to this early this morning:

What The @#$#%#^% Is Going On With Malwarebytes-img_20180127_120010.jpg

So I forced my system to reboot and then upon logging in, within 1 minute I am at this:

What The @#$#%#^% Is Going On With Malwarebytes-mb-3-ram-usage-1.png

30 seconds later I was at this.

What The @#$#%#^% Is Going On With Malwarebytes-mb-3-ram-usage-2.png

So, I killed MB (just quit, not uninstalled) - and went looking for an answer.

And one user here, F14tomcat, maybe, reported 53 GB of system RAM used (out of 64)....

It's not a MB version change, it is a component in MB that has been changed.

You run MB, check for updates, and it should update you to the latest - specifically Update Package 1.0.3803

The RAM usage spike is not instantaneous. So, all you have to do is close MB, then restart it, and after is starts, open it and check for updates.

You can see from my (last two) screenshots that it is going to take several minutes before it gets to a point where I cannot do anything because it is using all my RAM. And once it has been killed, your system reverts to normal operation within a few minutes as well.

For those unfortunate to get to a situation similar to what was in my first screen shot, a forced reboot will get you back up and running - with the admonishment that you need to either 1) quit MB until you're ready to update, or 2) immediately after logging on, open MB and check for updates - so that you can prevent it from happening again.

I just kicked off MBAM and hit update. It downloaded and required me to perform a restart to make the Web Protection to take.
