This might be a stupid question, but can you encrypt your drive without using a password? I'm not sure if i get it.

You will need an Unlock key of some kind for any encryption system - this could be a Password, but these days could also be achieved by the use of Biometrics - Fingerprints, Face recognition Etc, or an external physical Key, in the form of a USB device, but I believe that Bitlocker uses a traditional style Passphrase and as long as this is of a decent length, (30 random characters ) and secured it should be a good solution for the issue it's designed for

I see, in that case its not a good solution for me. I got most of my files stored on usb flash drives anyway.

I have tried to get my hands on a superantispyware lifetime license because i feel like it makes good sense to go with a multilayer solution. If i cant get one then im problably just going to go with windows defender instead.

I just decided to go with SaS.

If anyone has a lifetime serial, or knows where I can get one, please let me know.

    All AV's have anti-spyware...

FYI: for KIS it's been included since? Can Kaspersky Anti-Virus detect spyware?
Yes, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 R2 does detect spyware. Kaspersky Anti-Virus does not have a separate option enabling spyware detection because Kaspersky Lab considers Spyware as a subcategory of Malware. Malware comprises malicious programs, such as trojans, viruses, worms, malicious utilities. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 R2 detects Malware by default.

I have found that the better antivirus software are VERY hard to breach and although it is still possible to get a virus the odds are slim to none. Without them you're almost guaranteed you will pick something up in short order is just a fact in the modern age.

Well i decided to subscribe for SaS and get the professional version, as $20 annually isn't so bad, but i would still like to get my hands on a lifetime serial some day.

I have been using Kaspersky Lab For years and never had any problems with there software and it is by far the best in my opinion. I have tried other AV software over the years and i always come back to Kaspersky Lab
