    Trojan.PRForm.A

Hi. Is there any way of finding out where I'm getting this virus from? The alert in the attached pic pops up many times a day on my PC. I read that CCleaner might have been the original source but I've uninstalled it and the alerts keep coming. Thank you.

I have read that most "On-Line" scanners will find and clean out this Trojan.......

You might want to do an online scan with F-Secure......hopefully that will solve your problem...

    Hi Dortmunder,

That does appear to be the CCleaner installer that was compromised, V533.6162
    Check your version

Use the newer versions of it V 5.34 or higher, and also according to news reports, an automated update to the CCleaner Cloud version has addressed the issue for that version.

Thanks, guys. F-Secure found nothing harmful and I'd already uninstalled CCleaner including deleting all registry entries with CCleaner in the name. Still getting alerts as I type - very frustrating...

Could be some remnants of this trojan are now embedded in your browsers........

Have you seen this article on the removal of this trojan...........

I recommend you do an image of your system prior to attempting any of the recommendations found in the article......
