    Malwarebytes question

If you only use the free version of Malwarebytes, do you need to have the tray application running?

The free edition is not a live scanner, so it wouldn't matter unless you wanted to use it for a manual scan.

The tray can be closed but it will come back after each scan till you close it again. It is there to facilitate your FREE monthly automatic scan. This ia a new feature of the free version.
