Guess I'll join the party in here now.

Upgraded my computer yesterday afternoon with no issues. Ran a clean install of the ISO last night and now I'm not updated and I'm receiving 0xC004C003 when I go to activation.

Guess I'll give it a few hours and see if it does anything. One question I do have is if being on my Microsoft account would change anything. After the clean install, I went with a local account and I'm wondering if that affected anything.
You do not need an MSA for activation - the error you are getting (blocked key) is because Windows can't verfy the store licence you were granted when you upgraded and tries the (generic) key which is obviously blocked for activation.

We are still trying to figure out how and where to check for errors with this new activation, thus can't categorically advise ATM, except reboot and see if the activation process can be re-initialised.

Enough is enough. This Windows 10 looks way more like a Wandroid 10 OS. I'm going back to Windows 8.1 x64. I hate it so much I can't take it. All Windows 95 icons, all the tablet interface settings, no control over Windows Update, no customization in windows colors, takes like 50% more time to boot up... Good bye to this horrible experience.

Upgraded from a legal activated Windows 8.1 Pro Media Center Edition. After activation the windows 10 deactivated. Can't active using any method mentioned above so far.

I've still got it. And the fact that so many people are just getting told to wait while relatively few seem to actually getting activated by doing so has me very worried. I don't want to just spend days sitting in a holding pattern not knowing if I need to roll everything back to Windows 8.1.

I have done two upgrades with the media tool, first one I had to mash the activate button many times to get it to activate. Second upgrade it was already activated on first boot but I have NVIDIA driver problems on this machine.

Well, after 48 hours I just gave up and started the process over again. Thankfully, this time Windows 10 activated after my clean install.

You have to have an activated version of Win10 on your PC before you can do a clean install and get it to activate.
