Two SSDs with Windows 8.1 and Build 10240. Upgrade path?

I have a dual boot system with two SSDs, with Windows 8.1 on one and Build 10240 on the other.

At this stage I am confused by all the Microsoft posts about upgrading.

Will I be able to upgrade to the new Build on the 29th on my Build 10240 (which is Activated and has the Fast/Slow options available)? I intend remaining on the Insider Programme.

If not, will I be able to upgrade on the 8.1? Will I then be able to clean install the new Build but on the other SSD?

It's my understanding that to get the free upgrade to Win10 one has to be logged into Win7 w/SP1 or Win8.1. I haven't dual-booted with Win10, have separate hardware, so can't respond as to whether Insiders will get the upgrade over the Win10 now running. Won't want it on my current machine [originally came with Vista] as I have a better one with Win7 w/SP1 set aside for Win10 which will be put into service tomorrow evening.
