How long can I keep the defer updates option ?

    How long can I keep the defer updates option ?


    I same running Win10 Pro and set the defer updates option.
    How long can I keep it ?

    I have no urge to do the Anniversary update.

    In Pro, when you defer Features Updates (ie. an upgrade like the AU) you are switching yourself from the Current Branch (CB) to the Current Branch for Business (CBB). The CBB apparently run 8 months behind the CB. There's more on this here:

    I looked under Defer upgrades and Updates under Local Group Policy editor and mine was not configured.
    I have Defer upgrades set under Advanced options
    is this the correct one ?

    AIUI deferring update works the same way in Pro whether you set it by Group Policy of through Settings. I have Home so can't confirm that.

    However, the wushowhide utility in the second link is completely independent of the 'defer' process. It can permanently hide updates for both Home and Pro versions.

    I've deferred the AU due to the missing drive / RAW format bug. How can I find out if this has been fixed since I will do the AU when MS sorts out this serious bug?
